"Honey" is the opening piece of After the Glitter and the Rouge, a sequence of soliloquies and songs which explore the experience of a boy who is taken from his dancing mother and sent to live with his grandmother in a small town in the interior of British Columbia, Canada (this is the same town, Brale, which serves as the setting for The Brale Chronicles - see in progress). "Honey" remains one of Patrick Roscoe's favourite performance pieces -- it is usually presented with several seemingly unrelated yet secretly connected pieces to form a 30 minute show. One of Patrick Roscoe's dreams is to connect with a collaborator who will help him shape the soliloquies and songs of After the Glitter and the Rouge for stage and/or film.
